Default suggestion for mods/admin

i guess a lot of members here are older and not computer literate.
i notice a ton of threads with cars or parts for sale where the OPs actually admit they have pics but dont know how to host them.

my idea is a how-to post pics sticky at the top of all for sale sections that explains how to register an account with a few of the free host sites and simple instructions on what tags to use on this forum. this would help both buyers and sellers and save wasted time for both parties waiting for pics to be emailed.

that would work if people would actually read the stickys, but we all know most people skip past those

at least if the sticky existed you could easily refer them to it, right?

You are incorrectly assuming that because one is older they are not computer literate. I've seen plenty of folks on here younger than myself that have problems posting a pic. Age isn't the problem with the ablility to post a pic.

That is what I read to learn how to post pics when I first joined.

Problem was I didn't know about it and had to ask for help. I was then provided with the link to the picture posting thread.

There is a section already for this purpose. Some use it many do not.

As you said, there is a link, but nobody can find it, so I think a link at the top is a good idea for all the "dummies" J/K dummies...

EDIT

I agree I worked in the computer or associated high tech industries for 40 years before retiring. Did everything from circuit design to writing software, working on the development of mainframes, PCs, avionics systems, test systems, etc. The PCs we can buy nowadays are tools just like a wrench is a tool and pretty simple to operate if you can read and think. I notice a large number of older people run away from them thinking they can't understand them while a lot of younger people don't pay attention to them and end up not understanding them as well.

As others have indicated, there is a HELP forum. That HELP forum is easily found if you're on the MAIN page of the forum itself. Once you click on the HELP forum link, there are 2 stickys about how to post pictures. Unfortunately, the HELP forum is just like the RULES forum - nobody reads them - their loss.
