Everyone loves their favorite glass cleaner, but after trying many including Stoners, I went back to the GM Glass Cleaner in the blue spray can (white foamy stuff).

Works great, no streaks (Bounty paper towels) and also approved for plastics like the transparent top and instruments.

As long as the homeless guy on the corner is using Invisible Glass, I give him $5.00, streak free every time!

Had the same issue when I purchased my car last summer. GM Glass Cleaner with Griot's blue micofiber glass cleaning cloths totally solved the problem.

A cheaper alternative to specialized expensive window cleaners noted above are window cleaner wipes. I use Windex Wipes and no more streaks. I leave them in the storage "locker" in the trunk and can clean the windows anywhere, anytime.

Rain-X from Walmart and microfiber cloths from Sam's Club does the trick for me.

Newspaper and a spray bottle with water/white vinegar 50/50. Do it in the garge/out of the sun.

FYI: I work in IT, but much of what I produce is used at the big manufacturer car shows (i.e. Detroit Auto Show, NY Auto Show, etc.). If you go to a couple of those, you'll see...nobody uses special cleaners for any particular part of the cars....just detailer spray (although I don't know exactly what they're using...it's always in a generic spray bottle). For those guys it's a constant battle with the fingerprints from all of the people (and lots of kids with sticky fingers) touching everything on the car (and pointing at the window stickers, etc.).

I use a 40 year old towel and it's streak free.
If I live another 40 years will my current towels work better?

Good luck.
No professional window cleaner uses paper towels...squeegee is the key.
