Start button
Anyone had any problems with the start button no responding
I have full power and a hot battery but when I push the start button...nothing!
I usually have to push it three or four times till the car fires right up !
Have the start buttons been known to go out?
Its almost like bad contacts ..if there even are any

On occasion, when I push mine, it will say no fob detected, I push it again, fires right up.

Any problem opening the door? Any message on the DIC?
Next time it happens, put your fob in the glovebox slot.
Other thoughts:
-- EM interference
-- cell phone interference
-- weak/dying fob battery
-- damaged fob
And of course there might be a problem with the start button itself. But I don't recall this being a common issue.

Only problem I ever had was caused by a after-market
blue-tooth device.

It should always at least attempt to start with only one push of the start button. Anything else would indicate a problem and a potential trip to the dealer. This is not a common issue with the C6.

If it is a manual trans, the clutch pedal has to be completely depressed or the start button will not respond.

Yes....^ My 08 has always started with the slightest push on the button. Actually I am still surprised at how sensitive the button is.

I have had a "No FOB detected" once. I had an aftermarket hand held tuning device plugged into the DTC and was going to program a test tune into the car. The hand-held was interfering with the FOB. Similar to the blue tooth problems and cell phones.

27 months and 12,500 miles and my 09 Z06 did it one time back in July. Finally started on the fourth try.

left mine in neutral once and it wouldn't make a sound. Put it in park and it started right up.

In addition to cell phones, gas pump wireless can interfere. Mine has taken several pushes to kick over 3 or 4 times in three years and every time has been at a gas pump.
