I have them on my car and the feel is super. Great ride and handling and very quiet. I was on the track at Charlotte and there was no hint of slippage. I gave up on the oem Goodyears as they are to noisy.
I bought them from the tire rack in May. Oh, did I mention they are quiet...

From the feedback on this forum.....99% of the guys that have them....like them. They say, it's a great street tire.

He's saying that cuz there is a bit of history behind this topic over in the Z06 forum. Do a search and there are a couple of threads on the General Tires, and some very good feedback.

A majority of us (Z06 folk, I have not seen feedback from base C6 folks) that are running the Generals are very happy with them, there are a few that knock them and assume because they are low cost, they do not perform. As is normal on the forum, most that are knocking them have never tried them out.

IMO, they have been a great tire on the street, have not had a chance to test them on the track yet, but have pushed them pretty hard on the street.

here is one thread I started:

For the price of them they are worth a try they do have a deeper thread and might last a little bit longer, as long as you not a guy who rips tires up they may be a good choice.

Also for the price at tire rack you can buy 2 sets these compared to almost any other tire in Z or GS sizes, I'm thinking about buying a set just to try them, and sell my GY's with 1500 miles.

FYI - General Tire is now owned by Continental Tires, and the UHP's are made in a Conti plant in Europe...

I LOVE these tires. Have had them on since end of August on the Z06. You cannot believe the positive difference over the stock F1's. Just a quick note......6-8 months a year I was unable to run WOT in lower gears due to the stock F1's losing most of their straightline grip once temps hit below 55 degrees. Well I've been doing some spirited runs on the generals in below freezing temps and to my surprise 1st hooks ok, 2nd no longer kicks out anymore.

So if your like me and drive the vette year round in cold/rain the Generals are hands down superior, they are also better in warm weather straightline grip along with all the other positive attributes (quieter ride, less harshness, much longer life).

Took me about a week to get used to the softer sidewall but it all feels natural now. Great tire and I'll be buying them again.
