i have a 2008 corvette with NPP and to be honest i think it sounds like a dually or a ram pickup truck.. how could i get a more high pitch in my exhaust? i want it to sound like a ferrari or lambo (no flaming)
closest you will get is with a Corsa
The high pitch sound doesnt so much come from the exhaust but more form the high revving engine, much like a motorcycle hi RPM.

i was thinking.. what if i straight pipe my exhaust and just leave the NPP axle back would the butterfly valves still work?
I have my 10 GS straight piped. It is not going to give you a high pitched exhaust note. Mine is fairly deep and throaty. Not sure on the butterfly valves working as I don't have them. It sounds great to me and for $140 it was far cheaper .
do you have any links or videos of your c6 or any straight piped c6?
also hows the drone and noise? can you talk on your cellphone while on the express way? or is it getting a little annoying?
There is drone, but it isn't bad at cruising speed. I have an auto so that makes a big difference. I am not sure how bad a stick would be for drone, but I would expect it to be a bit worse. I will take a sound clip in the next hour or so.
Just buy a Mild to Wild switch for the NPP exhaust or pull the fuse so the butterflies are open all the time. I have the M2W switch on my 09 Vert and I constantly get compliments on the great sounding exhaust system on my car and they can't believe it's a stock system. Leaving the butterflies open all the time is the only way to go.

If you want that sound you'll have to go buy one of them.
I have heard some Ti exhaust that sound more along the lines of the Exotics. Big $$$$ through.

Most of my buds have the M2W on and it's awesome.. I just ordered mine from West Coast Corvettes.. 5 minute install.. and yes.. will be "wild" all the time unless hitting the highway!

i had Corsa extreme and yes, it sounds like a lambo.
