I hope so. Whenever I get enough time blocked out, I'm gonna try it.

Default Warranty fix

Mine was fixed/replaced under warranty a few months ago.
I have noticed that when my seat goes all the way back for exiting the car that it gets torqued by the back wall of the passenger compartment.
It could be the 660 TQ at the wheels too.

What is the fix for this? I have it at times and find it annoying. I can't repeat it when just sitting in the garage and pushing on the seat, I can only get it to do it on spirited take offs at a light so it's hard to diagnose.

TIA!

My C6Z has it. It is an 06 with 20k miles. I discovered it last month while driving from Houston to Memphis. I was pissed to say the least.

Thanks Chevrolet and GM for building such suck seats. You bunch of douche bags.

Although we all hate this problem, folks should realize that GM/Chevrolet does NOT manufacture the seats - they come from a 3rd-party vendor. That said, they (GM-Chevrolet) should have an extended warranty repair for this problem where they install "NYLON" bushings in place of the known-to-fail rubber ones!

I have been wondering myself. My '10 Z06 driver seat moves when I accelerate a lil fast....not much, but enough where I DO notice it....I was wondering the other day if I could recreate the event and I pushed down on the floorboard and leaned back at the same time, and yep, I can recreate it....so....

What's the fix????

Your 10 is under warranty, take it back and they will replace the seat track.

My 08 started a couple of months ago. Chev says it is covered. It does it on stops and quick starts.

It did on my C5. I only had the problem on my 97. I had to get the track replaced twice with it. On the 03 the seat was always good.

Hey guys, you can get the replacement rubber pieces from BMW, for under $20. No need to buy the complete frame assembly.

An easy 1hr. fix.

One would think that GM would get this problem fixed by now. Guess that GM dosen't give a $hit. That kind of attitude is going to come back and bite them in the azz.

Default C5 Rocking Seat Fix

If you use rubber, it will FAIL AGAIN over time.
The nylon washers will never erode or compress, which is why using them is better - it's a ONE TIME, LIFETIME fix.

And, they are available at any ACE Hardware store for a couple of bucks at the most for all 4.

Just sayin'............

It will be appreciated by many, evidently........

Thanks!
