I don't pay for a subscription but today I accidentally hit the Onstar button and off it went with voice commands. Does it do this if you don't have a sub and then get the point where it will try to dial and tell you or what? I have an '06 that I bought used.

the voice commands will work but when you go to place the call it will say you have no minutes.

If your not interested in On Star, probably at least pull the power fuse so you dont hear this stuff again. Like you, I'm already up to my ear's with cable TV, internet, cellular, ext and not paying for anything else. When I bought an On Star equipped vehicle the dealer kept reminded me to activate it, but never did. Several phone call's and mailed reminder's ensued, followed by reminder's coming through the stereo system. Yanking the power fuse stopped it, but hear you really need to unplug the module to truely get rid of it. Imagine, I actually payed for this hardware burried somewhere in the sticker price.
