Is the 2-3 3-4 4-5 5-6 working OK ? If so then it could have a leaking sealing ring. How many miles on the car? If it is still under warrentee Take it to the dealer and they can scan the program in the TCM.

FWIW, it could be no problem other than that's the way it is supposed to work. If the tires are slipping, traction control will not allow the A6 to upshift just making things worse. When the tires are already slipping and the traction control is already cutting back on power to keep the tires from going up in smoke, the last thing you want to do is upshift adding a shock load to the tires. This is most noticeable is a turn.
Try turning the traction control and active handling off and see what happens. But don't be surprised if you end up in a ditch.

Hey!
Get the TSB work done to your Vette, it absolutely fixed my shift problem (for now..lol) as well as made my paddles work smoother!
Good luck!
Gary
A buddy of mine told me today that the car has to learn how you drive it, which could be at least part of the reason you're having this problem - has to figure out you're not Granma.

Yep, it is PIP-4395
While they are in there have TSB #08-07-30-021 performed on it also. 70140 "repair backed out terminal in transmission" or starting issues will start popping up and even lock you in the car, trust me!..lol
Mine goes back to the dealer in the morning for that TSB.
Have a great week all!

There are several seals in the transmission that get replaced under PIP 4395. It fixes problems with harsh or flaring shifts when cold in the lower gears.
PIP 4395
The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some customers may comment on a flare or harsh 2-3 shift.
Recommendation/Instructions:
This condition may be caused by leaking 1-2-3-4 and 3-5-R clutch fluid seal rings (230). The following conditions are indications that the fluid seal rings may be leaking:
• Delayed/extended or delayed with harsh feel initial Park to Drive and/or Reverse to Drive shifts, that are more likely to occur when the transmission temperature is below approximately 40 degree C (104 degree F).
• Harsh or flaring 2-3 shifts that are more likely to occur when the transmission fluid temperature is in the approximately 0 degree C (32 degree F) to 40 degree C (104 degree F) temperature range, but can be present at any temperature.
• Harsh 2-3 shifts that are more likely to occur at less than 50% tp.
Vehicles built in the January through August, 2007 time frame are more likely to have leaking fluid seal rings
Important: When inspecting the 1-2-3-4 and 3-5-R clutch fluid seal rings (230) there probably will not be visible signs that the seal rings are damaged.
If any of the conditions above describe the flare/harsh 2-3 shift condition replace the 1-2-3-4 and 3-5-R clutch fluid seal rings (230), DO NOT replace the valve body or
