Just put 42 to 44 lbs in the tires, gas stabilizer in the gas tank then fill it, baggies over the exhaust pipes, battery tender hooked up, and under a cover in teh garage.
At time of start-up, I pull the fuel pump fuse and then give 4 or 5 15 second bursts on the starter to get the oil moving. Then replace the fuse and fire it up. Of course, i pull the car cover and the baggies off first.
correct. in fact, less than 30 minutes... there is no permanent flat spotting with the radial tire construction. Thats a bias ply thing.
Never knew of any permanent flat spotting with bias ply tires either. The old top of the line nylon tires would flat spot overnight and thump for a few miles every morning you drove the car but weren't any worse if if stored for long periods.
I stored my Vette for six months every year when we lived in Michigan. I did a thorough winterizing, and left it sit until spring. Never had a problem with tires or anything else. I usually put 40+ psi in the tires. Moisture and rodents are your biggest problems.
