steering wheel issue
Anybody else tearing up the steering wheel from their wedding band? At first I thought maybe the wife was doing it until one day I realized it was me.

I have a few nicks on the wheel. I'm just being more careful about it. Not sure what the best way is to repair the small nicks.

Yes, rings do that.
Been there....no way to repair other than replace/ reskin.
Wear gloves or remove ring.
Might also look for watch damage on side or center panel....especially with carbon fiber panels.
Seen that too.

Never could wear rings much to my wife's chagrin, but my steering wheel looks great, no nicks!

If a ring is edgy enough to tear up a leather steering wheel would it not also tear up your hand?

You'd thing so, but...
When i was a cop, I carried a Browning Hi Power with standard wood grips, and shot it a lot. The ring on my right ring finger wore a chunk out of the right grip, and same on any other pistol I shot very much. But it never bothered my hand.
Go figure...

Small town PD, never had to pop anyone. Lots of range time, I was also the instructor. I did kill an injured deer with one shot that a deputy had already domed twice with a .45 with no effect. Lots of jokes in that story...
