right at 70 mph I feel and hear a consistant thump, not loud or anything just a thump, can feel it in the gas pedal, goes away either side of 70. could use an idea on this one before I explore a dealer. thanks

oops, 09 coupe,18k, no mods(not counting the cocoa mats)
Often, speed-related vibrations are tire/wheel problems. But a thump is a bit unusual.
I'd try:
Check tires for damage, signs of belt separation, inflation, etc. Look at inner sidewalls, too.
Lug nuts tight?
Give a general eyeball under the car for anything amiss.
Trying going into neutral at 70. Does the thump change? If so, probably not wheels/tires.
A Hunter "Road Force Balance" machine can sometimes find and correct tire issues that can be elusive.

Keep us posted...
I agree with Jim. Usually anything around 70 MPH is indicative of a wheel out of balance. If not a wheel out of balance , it could be a bad shock.
All good advice already. Do the normal inspections on the tires and then get them balanced based upon what you see. I sort of doubt a shock is going bad this early for you...I'm at 99K on my original shocks and they are still good.
If you google the Hunter tire balancing website, they have a spot for finding a shop near you with the Road Force balancer.
Phone ahead first, these machines seem somewhat prone to breaking and may be out of service. But nothing works better for finding an out-of-round or out-of true tire.
