I have a great remedy for "corvette withdrawl", works every time, DRIVE THE CAR!!!!! I live in New Jersey and, drive daily all winter. Just no snow, ice or salt.
Do you drive it during the winter...? I drive mine all yr around as long as the roads are "DRY" and "Saltfree" I had my car out today in 17 deg. weather.. a little hairy, but it can be done if you use common sense....
With that being said, I will take it out at least once a month unless the roads are salt covered...
How in the heck do you keep her clean...Do you wash it when its below 32..whats your secret

I know the feeling. This year other than putting the Battery Tender on, I'm not putting it away for the winter.
Tried to convince the wife how nice the warm weather all year long is but we have too much family in the NY/NJ area to move south. We're having a home built in South Jersey.
My brother retired in June of 2004 to Daytona Beach, FL and has not been north since then. He called me a month ago to get info on the Vette. What to look for, options, etc etc.
He calls me a week later to tell me he didn't like the Vette ( I don't think he liked the salesman or the dealership) and wound up with a BMW 128 Vert. Go figure. But I feel your pain. Happy Holidays. May we, in the NE, have a mild winter.
get the cover off and drive it. I parked mine last year and was rewarded with a dead battery. this winter I am driving daily as long as no snow or ice. The last two weeks the morning temps have been as low as 18 degrees and guess what? the car does just fine. GO DRIVE YOUR VETTE!
At least you're not deployed for a year in the high deserts of Afghanistan!!
I hear you! Now I'm in Korea for 2 years. I often wish I had my Vette... then I immediately remember how horrible the drivers are here and am glad I dropped her off with my Dad. But, I still miss my baby! Dad sends me picts of him and my car every month or so.
It's supposed to be in the forties tomorrow - maybe she'll get run a little. The only bad thing is the collision is off for three months. Also those big tires are like vacuum cleaners - they suck everything off the road and fling it. Here they like to put cinders down - alot of cinders down.
Everytime I see someone driving a Corvette, I have a brief fraction of a second or so feeling of envy. I then realize that I own three of them. A 68 and a 08 that are licensed, insured, and driveable. A 70 that needs some assembly. I've had my 08 for two years now and I have 4500 miles on it. With luck, I'll own it for 20 years or more. I've owned the 68 since about 1973.
It will be close to 70 the next couple of days, plan on taking a drive Sunday probably pull off the top and just drive. It cools mid week so I will take advantage of it...
