Default 2011gs upgrades help $$

I am buying a 2011 gs ttop & want to add 100hp with the least negetive impact to the drive train. ?? Headers ? long pipes? I see super chargers can be hazardous to someone who just does street driving like me. My friend is the gm dealer. I leased a 2007 conv.I want to buy from him again. Some shops require you to buy the vette from them to do the upgrade work.I am not looking at a fancy name brand body mod upgrade.

Your going to have to wait a while on that one. Are you getting the Automatic landing package?

Visit one of our Authorized Dealers for a test drive in a Callaway Grand Sport.

With 606 hp, it does exceed your 100+ request however, I can assure you, there is no drama with our packages!

There are a lot of ways to get HP, but not a lot to retain value, and get a production style warranty!

You are buying a GS precisely because it looks like a Z06. Right? Or do you like the GS better than the Z06?

Now, before you even have the car, you "need" to tear into it for more power? Right?

Why the heck don't you just buy a Z06 in the first place or save your money a couple of years and get a ZR1?

Why buy a car that's not good enough for you even before you buy it?

It's nonsense.

Be sure to post pics of your 2011 gs ttop when you get it. I doubt that many here have ever seen one.

Default 2011 gs great ride like the roof

I drove the 2011 gs with a glass top and cat back exhaust sounded great drove great. Big improvement from my 2007 conv. I like the gs because you can remove the roof in the summer. The zo6 you have no option of roof removal. For the street this is good enough. I just thought if I can spend $5,000 more and gain 50-100hp . I would consider suggestions.

To answer your original question and not be a naysayer like our resident Scrooge from Oregon, yes you can add 100 HP with no drive train issues. I'm sure you're aware that it will void your warranty. $5K should get you a head and cam kit that will add 100 HP with a small, everyday cam.

Do a search, with GM now-a-days you take your chances with any mod while still under warranty. Talk to your future service manager.

Thats why I bought a GS as well... I looked at the Z06's but I wanted the removable roof too... But you have to realize that anything that adds 100hp is going to void your warranty.

Unless it's a Callaway mode won't effect the Warranty at all.

My understanding is , it is the only modification allowed to be made that doesn't effect Warranty?

I have 1 now and another on the way.
