I'm putten on new splash guards and would like to jack up the entire side of my vette to remove both wheels and install the new guards and clean up the wheel wells. Any special tricks or things I have to be carefull of??

You will need to lift the front or back first, then install both fronts or both rears. You can not work from side to side unless you have the entire car in the air and all the wheels off the ground
I wouldn't get to worked up about this, as I change out to track wheels several time's a year, one at a time. I use a BMW lifting puck and low profile Harbor Freight floor jack. A scissor jack also work's. The puck, or some kind of block(some use a hockey puck), is to keep the jack off the car's plastic rocker panel. When the wheel's are off, I usually wash em' good over a basement floor drain.
