transmission Problem
OK I have a 2006 manual transmission corvette. I am able to shift between 1 to 3 to 5, but I am not able to shift into any of the geears that are on the bottom half of the shifter 2,4 or 6th. Any had these issues before? I had a short shifter put in over a year ago and just wondering if it could be causing this?

On the positive side, you have 1st, 3rd, 5th and reverse. What more do you need? Sounds like a mechanical linkage issue. Something is preventing the shift lever from entering the rear portion of the shift pattern. Maybe as simple as a loose bolt, don't force it, you will just make it worse.

sounds like the mounting plate has slid back to far and isnt letting you get into that side of the gears. Sounds like it happend right after you jammed it into 2nd,,,,,,,,
Its not a syncro issue,,,,i mean not very often that you screw syncros up in more then one gear all at once. Have them check the mounting of the new gear shift and check that they are tight and aligned right. paul
