I just tried to open and start my 2005 LT1 convertible. Has been parked for about a month without starting. Started fine last time. Neither Key fob will open the doors. Is this a fob problem or a car problem.
If he has an owners manual, probably locked in the car.
Use your key (hope you have one) to open the rear hatch, lock is to the right and just above the rear license plate. Pull the door emergency cord on the left rear wheelwell to open the drivers side door.
Other than that, being locked out of any C6 that has been left unattended for over a month is not exactly earth shaking news. That's why we all have emergency keys to open our trunks, and gain access to the door release pull that GM so thoughtfully put there. All this, of course, is so clearly explained in that seldom read book; the owner's manual.
Yeah, and actually the 2005 equivalent to today's 1LT was 1SX. Of course, there were no 1SX convertibles made so maybe he's referring to a 2005 vert with an LT1 engine that was transplanted from a 1992-1996 C4 Corvette.

Any salesman that sells a corvette should show things like that.
