Default Navigation system woes

I just bought a new 2010 Grand Sport Coupe which I am very happy with except that the navigation system is misbehaving.

It will freeze up for dozens of seconds, even minutes sometimes, at a time. First off, pressing the agree button stays on that screen for at least 1 minute with Agree lit before going to the next screen. Then the map will take at least 30s to get drawn up and while driving, it wil stop updating (position not updated, map not redrawn) every so often (few minutes) for 30 to about 90s.

Trying to enter destination is the same deal, touching a button will lit the button but nothing else will happen for 30s before the next screen appears or the display is further updated.

Since the navigation system in my previous Corvette (2007 Coupe) was always snappy, I know it's definitely abnormal behavior but before I try to get the unit replaced, I wonder if it's a known problem with an easy fix. (It feels like it needs a good reboot but I don't know how to do that, simply turning off the car does not seem to be enough).

It's not working right - take it to the dealer and get it replaced. It will require two trips, one to agree there is a problem and one to replace the radio. My dealer let me drive the car to the bay and stay with it.

Yea, I think it needs to go in and likely be replaced. I've read that there is a reset but it's on the back of the unit, not accessible. Just let the dealer take care of it. No need to obsess over problems on a new car.
