Sounds like you might need to go over everything the installer touched. Maybe he tapped into the wrong wire or shorted out something. I'm really just guessing but have you tried to disconnect the battery and see what happens after you reconnect?

If everything was running o.k. and suddenly you have issues I would start with the battery. Does it still have it's original battery? If the battery in C6's (especially '05) is just a little bit weak it can and will prevent it from cranking. If your sure it's not battery I would check to ensure ALL grounds are tight.
But if it's the same battery I would definitely start there. (weak battery will allow radio and other stuff to power up-just the car's computer does NOT like it-there was update GM came out with to update the computer.) Good luck.
Thinking about it a little, it sounds like the same problem I had when I installed aftermarket lights in the interior. After trying everything and taking it to service dept ( even the tech couldn't figure it out), I simply unplugged the lights and everything went back to normal. Turns out the lights were emitting something that blocked the fob signal from being read. Even when I put the fob in the glovebox slot, it didn't work.
Depending on how extensive of a stereo you got installed, there might be a main fuse connection for it by the battery somewhere. Pull it out and see if that works for you. Good luck!
If it has the original battery in it, then it was drained alot when all the stuff was being installed, worked OK for a while and then died. Just because dash instruments go on OK does not mean the battery is fine. Put a charger on it or try a different battery. And do not take the nuts completely off the battery clamps, they are meant to be loosened only. If you lose one, they are very hard to replace as they are NOT a standard nut.
thank you guys for all the replies still no luck not working is there a way to reset the whole computer or reprogram it im sending a guy to look over the connections again i will let u know what will happen thanks again

I agree with the earlier suggestions to put a battery charger on the car or totally replace the battery. However, I also recommend disconnecting the battery for a few minutes and then reconnecting it, thereby forcing a "clear" of the computer.
If these two actions, taken together, do not allow you to start the car, then I would look to the individual who installed your new stereo to assist in troubleshoot his installation.

Something very similar happened to me when I had my 05 with the A4. Turned out to me a bad BCM or PCM, can't remember which. Apparently some relay inside burned out. Took the local chevy dealership two tries to fix it.
i have changed the battery but same thing is happening the engine wont start when i press the start button i hear a clicking noise and all the dials turn over just like you are starting the car normally but the engine is not starting it is 5 speed automatic
There is no 5 speed automatic in the C6 or any past Vette either.. There is a starter relay that may need to be pulled and re-seated...take a look in the fuse box under the hood, complete list of fuses and relays listed inside the lid.
Just because you installed a new battery dosn't mean it is charged either. Charge the battery on a slow charge over night. This has happened to me as well and it was the combination of the battery going bad and then the starter went as well. I replaced the battery and no go. It ended up being the starter was bad.
