I have my C6 set to silent auto lock after leaving the car. Almost every time I park in my garage (back in) get out, shut door and walk toward the front of the car, the horn gives 3 sharp beeps (annoying because it is amplified in the garage and my neighbors don't need the extra sounds). It never does this any place else even when I walk toward the front of the car after parking. Anyone else have this happen and any suggestions?
Do you have the DIC programmed to warn you of a fob left in the car? If so, it sounds like the antennas in the car that detect the fob "think" a fob has been left in the car.
Fob is in my pocket. I never leave it in my car. Maybe it thinks it's in my car because I have to walk close to the car when parked in the garage. I will try walking close to it when parked outside and see if it honks then. Thanks for the suggestions! What is the RCDLR?

My car does the same thing when the key fob is in my right pocket and I walk to the front of the car. Switched fob to left pocket and it solved the problem.

I put the FOB in the change pocket of my jeans. If I put it in my left pocket, my life would be totally screwed up!! Money and other keys need a new home, cell phone needs to move. When I get a call, I'll be answering a quarter (good suggestion though)

Try this first, it usually solves the problem. If you cannot completely open the door in the garage and are standing close to the car with the fob in your right pocket, the car, as stated above, believes the fob may still be in the car when you shut the door and gives you a warning.
My 2009 does this when the "FOB left in the car" warning is activated AND the driver door is not opened very far like when you park in a spot where another car is close. If I am able to swing the door father nothing happens.
your car will do the same thing if you shut it off, leave the door open, get out and then get back in (like when fueling, etc.) simply telling you it thinks a fob is still in the car. choice the silent option on the DIC settings and all will be quiet.
