How do you store your extra top?

I am buying a new glass top for my GS and wonder how you guys store the extra top when not in use? I will have the original GM box it comes in. What about the GM top storage bag?

You can do the same thing with the rubber coated hooks available at Home Depot or Lowes. They all hang on the latch handles. The difference is about $70.

mine is wrapped in a sheet under the bed. Bedroom is carpeted.
Been there for 4 years as I only run the glass top.

Wrapped in a plastic trash bag and placed under the bed... Don't have to worry about it falling of the wall or getting nicked up...

I ordered the top from Gene. The painted one went back in the box. It's in the garage surrounded by other boxes so it won't tip.

It's not really a delicate item, storage shouldn't be much of a concern. It's dimensionally stable, so it shouldn't matter whether it is stored flat or vertical...it's not like a vinyl record.

Probably better you don't. My painted roof has been hanging since new for almost 6 years. The only time it's been down is to have it replaced under recall.
