Sunday I needed to go pick up something for Christmas at one of the big malls in Dallas -- I haven't set foot in a mall in so long that I can't really remember when it last was... They have a 5-6 level parking garage and when I got there around noon the first couple of levels were obviously full so instead of looking on the next few levels I went on to the top -- I parked outside on the roof and there was maybe 2-3 other cars up there, all on the far end from where I had parked which was way away from the elevator & stairs. I was only in the mall about 30-45 minutes and when I got back the top level of the garage was maybe about 1/3rd full. Of course several folks had to park all around me even though it was inconvenient. I saw a mall cop/security guard parked on a golf cart a little ways down the end of the row I was parked on. As I opened my hatch to put my jacket in and sack he pulled up behind me. I was thinking "Oh geeze...what have I done now!" He asked if I was the owner of this beautiful car. Of course I was! We talked about 10 minutes. He said he has an '06 black coupe. He was keeping an eye on my car to make sure nobody banged it up. Super nice guy!
The funny thing on the freeway into Dallas some guy in a Honda Accord was trying to race me...
You could park in a snake pit inside a ring of fire protected by rabid coyotes in a minefield 6 miles from the nearest doorway and some jackwagon will park next to you
I went to the Nashville Super Speedway last year and ran into a parking attendent that owned a Corvette. I had VIP parking already but he had me park in a spot right beside the area he was working. It was also a spot by it self and no one could park beside me. He told me that he would keep a eye on my car. I quess Corvette owners do stick together. Nice guy.

Went to a Cubs game last fall and was driving around the stadium looking for a place to park, drove past a few people holding up their parking signs, and as I slowed for traffic ahead, a lady ran out to my car from her yard and said "If you park here, I'll personally watch your car until you get back".
Sold! I pulled right in. She put me right up beside her garage next to her own car. Didn't even matter what she was charging.

Yeah I don't get it....why do you take your piece of junk or okay car and park next to me in the middle of no where? And normally park close..like you have an issue getting in the spot with no cars around. I don't get it....it's like they want to do it on purpose.
I will say this..if I am in my DD..and I see a vette..I will park beside the for protection...and to admire the car.

On occasion probably...not a lot though...and I won't usually park the dd way out so, not me on those occassions. I guess I should mark the dd with a vette sticker so, they know I am okay. LOL!
Some ,like my wife ,say this is not a phenominum but simply people trying to get a closer look at a beautiful car. As long as they leave plenty of room I tend to agree with her but this car brings out the worst and the best in people but lately IMO it's been the worst.
