Default TPMS nut

I have a new set of chrome wheels coming next week and I was looking for the sensor nut in chrome. Is this an option, or do I live with the silver/gray one on the stock wheel??

Thanks

Kenny

After buying new wheels, sensors, and tires and using the silver nuts, I saw them for sale somewhere. I can not remember where but they do make them.

Hi Kenny

Our sensors are made by Schrader, so take a look at their website and you can see they have what you're looking for. Those are dress-up sleeves that fit over the stock retaining nuts, and it looks like the kit has chrome caps as well:

There are a couple problems with putting chrome stuff on the valve stems: one is dissimilar metal corrosion; and the other is that the valve stem is part of the antenna system of the radio signal transmitter in the sensor.

That stuff in the link above is by Schrader, so it should work well with our sensors.

Now, the problem is figuring out where to get them. I know my local tire shops only have the ones like the stock ones, but I think if you check on eBay you might find them.

I got mine from East Coast Corvettes.

I believe they are chrome plated aluminum so no dissimilar metal issue.

I did use a tiny bit of anti-seize compound anyway.

Oh, and don't overtighten them, you can damage the 'o-ring' seal.
