Painted Interior Trim
Just installed the painted interior trim for my C6, and it looks great...but trying to figure out what the rectangular hole is in the cover plate. Did I get the wrong part, or do they all come that way? If they do, any suggestions to cover it??

Cover plate in the console? That's for the passenger air bag light. I think only the '05 had that. When I switch out my console I'm ditching that light. You can get a plate that's blank without the hole.

Hmm...the passenger airbag light is in the rearview mirror on mine. Talking about the plate near the center glovebox -- believe on F55 suspension cars, this is where the ride selector switch goes.

Ah ha! They sent the wrong part -- thanks for the pic! Will have to see if they will swap out that one piece for me...wife got it from GM Parts House. Just verified she ordered the right part number (according to their site), so assume they will take care of making it right.

Got a message from Gene@ GMPartsHouse last night -- he said all the model years are the same, but obviously not -- has anyone gotten a painted version where the small cover plate is solid? Did you get it from GMPartsHouse or another place? Funny he said that, as this is the only difference between the 05 and 06-07 center console that I know...and his website has two specific part numbers listed (either for the 05 or the 06-07).
