I like what you have done and give some feedback later on the tires as I am looking to put them on our Coupe
There are many threads on the general exclaim uhp tires. I purchased based on the tread rating of 380 and cost (half of GY Runcraps). So far I love them. Only have a few hundred miles so far but the ride is way softer, quieter, and with better traction/handling. Because these tire are not runflats, I purchased an emergency kit from Costco that has a compressor. I picked up some plugs at the auto store to add to the kit. Looking for some tpms safe sealers as well.
The color combo and everything looks just awesome. Plus silver is my favorite color on a vette.
But there's something not quite right. The offset of your rear wheels appears to be wrong based on the angle of these pics. The rear wheels should be flush with the fenders, but it looks like they're at least .5-1 inch inset.
Notice my rear tires have the same problem. Wish I would have done something about it as soon as the car was 'done'.
I'm curious how you get away with that front plate, ever get a ticket or is that legal in cally?
I've posted on this on a front plate thread also. I've been pulled over for speed and each time the CHP walked to the front and saw the tag. One of them even commented that it was modified but that at least I had it displayed on the front of the vehicle.
Technically one cannot modify state property but since I have it displayed, I havent been hassled. I'm very respectful to LEOs so I usually don't get hassled and also sometimes able to get out of situations.
Well done, and that you kept your budget under control.
Thanks I wish I didn't have a budget and could've done a complete wide body with forged three piece wheels but I'm just an average guy with an average budget. So I figure that I'd do things a little at a time and eventually I'll get there. Afterall it's all about the adventure in planning and doing the modifications
