I am looking at buying a 2005 A4 that has the FE1 "soft ride suspension". Will it still corner well? I use to own a 2002 Z06 and remembered driving down the road in that I could feel every bump on the highway and god forbid I drive down a brick road; but that thing cornered like nothing I've ever driven before. I wouldn't mind something with a little nicer ride over the bumps, but want to still have the cornering a sports car should have. I'd love to hear what you guys think.

Thanks!
I have an '05 A4 with the FE1 suspension. It rode and cornered pretty well and then I installed Z06 sway bars and Z51 shocks. Wow! Great ride and the cornering is phenominal! If you buy the car, Gene Culley at GMPartsHouse offers a package deal that has Z06 shocks and the
Z51 sways (I'm a rebel and went the reverse ). The ride is nice enough that my wife still nods off in the car within five minutes after departing the homedrome. Reminds me of a toll booth basket actually.
Our 09 has the base suspension, I did not want to pay the extra for the Z51 package (model to many), so I installed the Z51 sways and the Koni FSD shocks I took off my C5 and Calipers plus the rotors. Works great for us and when I go to 325s in the rear I will put on the Z06 sways I took off my C5, you can not go wrong with a base car with some tweaks.
