I cant address your issue specifically but I can tell you that I have had nothing but the best of service from JW Motoring when purchasing my fog lights. See the attached thread and go down to the 12th post to see the HID fog lights on my 2010 GS.
I have considered HID but really just want to get bulbs that are whiter and a better match to the Headlights.
Sylvania SilverStar 9145ST are listed as replacements for the 2010 Base/GS/Z06/ZR1. I find it hard to believe that they wouldn't fit or that GM changed the bulb type.
Suggest you consider Hoen... that is what I use for the "fog/driving" lights and are a considerable improvement over OEM. Nothing wrong with SilverStar and use them in my 1990 ZR-1
Here the OEM Xenon's and the Hoen lights are on....Hoen's color is close>>

Thanks all!! I think I'll start with new bulbs first and think about the HID's a bit. I really just can't stand the White/Yellow difference between them!!!
JMHO but if you are going to go through the hassle of replacing the bulbs, you might as well contact JWMotoring and go for the LED foglights. They are pretty much plug and play, last longer, provide better vision and look waaaayyyyy better.

6k led's
I think he meant HID and I got my set off the auction site for around 40.00 shipped and install was simple. If you are spending even close to that just go HID and never look back.

Thanks guys.
Our HID kit for the fogs in 4300k is a great match to the stock lights. I wouldn't waste my money on any of the halogen replacements. LED replacements are also a bad idea. They are not bright enough for fogs.
