Just wondering if anyone is able to find what true dealer invoice is with a VIN number still? Looking at a 2011 Grand Sport stickering at $59,750.
Dealer tried showing me a computer printed piece of paper that showed their invoice at $55,055.
The VIN for the car is 1G1YV2DW9B5104029. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

When i was looking dealers paid like 4000 less than msrp. Then they get money back sfter the sale i think too. A base gs sells for 55-56000.The dealer pays like 50000 for it.
You might try truecar.com. They subtract out holdback, and known dealer incentives, add in the regional ad costs, and end up with what they call a "true" dealer cost. There is of course other "hidden" discounts and kickbacks for dealers that we'll probably never know about, but it gives you a reasonable place to start, with all the math done for you. It's also interesting to see what others in your general area have paid for the car.
Why worry about invoice? You have some idea. Just make a reasonable offer say 49000.00 on a 63.5k car. Right time of the month, options and color will probably buy it.
Be very careful. Many times you will see an add for $10.00 above dealer invoice or such. The "dealer invoice" is the price the dealer puts on the car. You should be interested in the "factory invoice" this is the price the dealer paid for the car not counting of course any hold back or other deals the factory gives the dealer. You can get the factory invoice with a little research on the net. Edmunds is pretty accurate.
