2010 leftover - good buy?
I have the opportunity to buy a new 1LT 2010 leftover that has been sitting outside on a dealers lot for $35,700 plus tax. This price is after the 4000 rebate, 1000 owner loyalty, and 3000 in gm card earnings. Should I jump on this? There are no options on the car and it stickers for $49,880. Advice would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Its a great price on the car if you would be satisfied with the 1LT. When i bought my C5 i went with the 1LT and could never get comfortable in the car. My C6 is a 3LT and very comfortable, i would have went with the 4LT if i could have found the color i liked.

Sounds like a great deal. Think of all the people who paid close to list or even more for their Vettes. Just be sure you like the color because that is something your going to have to live with, and their are other equally great deals out their.

Sounds like a great deal!
#1 -- Check the odometer. Maybe a dealer demo or some kind of program car?
#2 -- Are they killing you in the fine print? Financing, trade-in, paint protection, etc.
#3 -- Carefully inspect for parking-lot dings, scraps, scratches (exterior and interior).
#4 -- Look underneath for damage to the front-end, rocker-panels, etc.
#5 -- Do NOT let the dealer clean the car!!! Inspect the rear tires & wheel wells for evidence of burnouts (Launch Control debuted in 2010).
#6 -- Again, do NOT let the dealer clean the car!!! Go to the best detailer in your area... IMO it's worth the $$$ to make your new car look factory-fresh. Since it's been sitting outside for maybe a year, depending on condition it'll probably cost you $500 - $1,000 and take at least a full day.
#7 -- Buy a new well-charged battery. The original battery has probably died multiple times. And it never fully recovers from a discharge.. anyway, I wouldn't risk the headache, just get a new battery for your new car.
What battery should you buy? IMO, an OEM-type battery is fine for a daily driver. But for weekend/occasional use, consider a deep-discharge battery (like an Optima Yellow Top). And use a good battery maintainer (CTEK, Battery Tender, etc).
#8 -- Post pics after you get it home.

A base suspension Vette does NOT handle well, IMHO. You need a Z51. The base car does not handle like a true sports car. Something to think about.

Great deal! Although the $3k in GM card earnings make it sound better. 1LTs are nice and well optioned but hilly roads will make the base suspension jumpy. I would consider looking at the forum dealers stock since they usually have great deals also.
