Vette locking system vulnerable
I came across this disturbing news yesterday. The article that caught my attention is here:
http://jalopnik.com/5736774/how-hack...-to-steal-cars
I downloaded the reference pdf and the outlook is not good. It seems the best defense would be to keep the fob in a small metal box, maybe a Band-Aid tin, unti ready for use.

So walk around with a bandaid box in your pocket?
I wouldn't worry about this too much. If a thief can't steal your car one way he can steal it another.

He has to get into my garage first. After that, is why we have insurance.

Guess I'm safe. I don't look like the type of guy
who drives a Vette (or fits in it for that matter
)
so I proly wouldn't be targeted.

I am not as worried. Most hackers/car thieves that are smart enough to use this technology... have no idea how to drive a stick shift! 6M 4 evr

Assuming all of this is true it seems like a simple on-off switch on the fob could leave the hackers scratching their heads
