Default Manual top alignment

Hi guys,

I searched, but haven't found anything specific. Any help would be much appreciated. I have a 2008 vert, and over the last 2 years, the manual top has come out of alignment. I believe the the whole top has shifted towards the rear.

I pushes down significantly on the tonneau cover when up, makes the tonneau cover hard to close when the top is down, and the latch is harder to engage with the top up. Lowering and raising the top is also difficult, as the tonneau cover is hitting the glass (going up or down)

Im under warranty, but after watching the dealer tech in West Palm Beach Fl take 3.5 hours and 4 or 5 attempts to program a Key Fob, I hesitant to let them touch it.

Any information on adjusting the alignment on the top, or local suggestions of shops in the west palm beach area would be greatly appreciated.

Kevin

Isn't there another dealer you can get to? But personally I've become jaded with dealerships in general and haven't been to one in a couple years now. I got as much stuff done as was needed before my warranty ran out and haven't been to a dealership for anything since.

I do need to give the top a little push before closing the cover when down. And sometimes when up I need to push the rear window in a bit before closing the cover so it doesn't hit. And I always handle all the parts by the center when pushing or pulling.

Other than that, my '05 manual top has stayed in good working order so far and looks very nice.

I've been to several in the area, and they consistently damage the car. Last time, they scratched the door pull, the center console and the steering wheel. While I was watching, they started to spay cleaning fluids under a lifted car right next to my car. I made them stop before they sprayed mineral spirits within a foot of my hood and open top. If i'm forced, i'll go to the dealer, but i'm looking for an alternative.

I've read in a manual I have about some adjustment bolts, and i was wondering if anyone else had tried this. I would take a shot if there was minimal risk.

Thanks
