Default Order status

Thnaks for the reply!!

Talk about coincidences, I just got back for the gym and have an email for GM saying my car has been built and is awaiting transportation to my dealer (code 4B00).

George

BTW, is that your wife in the AVITAR? If so, you are one lucky man!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would not be able to sleep or go to work if she were mine.

How will the plant closure impact cars sitting at code 4B00?

Ken At Fichtner just emiled me about the alleged closure his reply is as follows.

I have not been able to confirm that the plant is actually closed as rumored.
I believe that tours have been suspended for a reason not being published.
All of my orders for production the weeks of 10/3, 10/10, 10/17, and 10/24 are all right on target.
No worries.

I concur that although the tours are curtailed I have not been able to get any further confirmation as to production being suspended. I also checked the UAW web page and did not see anything there regarding a shut down either. Larry

that is good news Larry, and i also noticed you live in watkins! how cool is that we live so close.
i love the ability to see production. however i did not read every page on this thread. i get nothing right now when i inquire. i assume that takes 24 hours before i have any details?
only thing i see now is todays date and somthing about being in the system.

I can remember my last new Corvette in 09. The car rolled off the assembly line on Monday and was delivered to the dealer on Friday. In todays much less volume selling the cars can take a lot longer to get delivered.

I think allot of the vehicles that got pushed out due to the closing of the plant have a TPW of this week, so there should be enough cars going that way soon.

I checked with the Vette Plant on the phone.. They only have a couple days of closure and are operating Monday through Thursday.
From the site:
There will be no 2:00pm tour on Nov. 3rd.
There will be no tours on Nov. 14th or Nov. 24th.
There will be no 2:00pm tour Nov. 23rd.
