If you don't track your, ceramic brake pads produce much less dust and it's gray colored and not as noticeable between cleanings.
If you put a couple coats of REJEX on your chrome wheels the dust will pretty much just blow off with compressed air.
Check Forum Vendor AutoGeek for brake cleaning products that won't damage your painted calipers.
I just use a wheel brush with the same soap I'm using on the rest of the car. In between washings I use a household Swiffer duster that looks kinda like a feather duster with a longer, articulating handle.
I've tried everything I've seen on this forum. Some do a little, but very little. Nothing has really worked for me. I'm learning to live with it. Don't track the car, so may go with ceramic when the current pads need replaced.
Amorall Wheel Protectorant has worked really well for me. I wash the car, let it sit overnight, apply it and let it dry completely. It doesn't last forever but the results have been amazing as far as dust.

IIRC this product does wash off if you use soap on it the next time, meaning it's not like a solid coating. but it does work from the many reviews.
I switched my brake pads to porterfied r4s long ago and the brake dust went way down. performance stayed up, too.
Brake Parts Cleaner from Advance Auto Parts will do an excellent job of cleaning your calipers... Just spray it on, let it dwell for about 3 minutes, then rinse.
I switched to Hawk Ceramics. One of my better decisions. 90% brake dust reduction. No loss of braking performance for my non-track Vette.....
I used spray nine. You must be careful though. That stuff works wonders..I was talking to a friend about the brake dust from our carsand a previous car.You all can see that the dust is on the side of our cars.If you ride top down or windows down .We inhale the brake dust too.Just something to be aware of.I detail my former car clubs cars.Mainly g35.They would have dark or discolored head liners. It was brake dust.Just a word of caution.

This stuff is great!!! I use it on my Grand Sport and the dust does NOT stick. I am so happy.
I've used Simple Green in a spray bottle mixed with some water for years and I haven't seen any brake dust that it hasn't removed, and I've used it on several different types, colors of wheels and there is no harm done.
For the dust, I could hook you up with the Hawk Performance Ceramic pads and then we wouldn't be talking about the dust anymore
I installed the GM ceramic pads and they eliminated at least 95% of the brake dust, as well as brake squeal. To keep the remaining 5% from sticking use the ArmorAll Wheel Protectant, and then occasional dust with a Swiffer duster.
