problem with headlights

Hi I am new to the forum thing so please be patient with me. My name is John and I have a question about my 08 c6 that maybe someone can help me with. a couple of weeks ago both the low beam headlights stopped working. They soon began working again for a while. now they are not working again. High beams work fine and tail lights work fine. Does anyone know what could possibly be the problem? In need of help.

Hi John, Donald here, Have not had that problem or read about it. However a loose connection or bad relay. Check fuse for tightness in slots. I believe each low hid beam has its own ballast so if both are affected at the same time I would be looking for a common problem with power to both. Electrical problems that come and go can be difficult.

If it's not the fuses or relay, it's probably a bad BCM (body control module).

You may still be under warranty, I would get the car to the dealer as soon as possible.
