New Rims with sensors but car can't read them
I bought 4 forgeline rims come with sensor but now I have an alert on my screen about my tires. I called the dealer they say for $50 they can porgram them. Is there something I can do to fix this problem or this is a job that only can be done by a dealer or a tire shop? My car is a c6 08. The rims are used and the presure sensor worked in the car that came from.

Call around. I had one dealer tell me $80! Had a couple choice words for him. Made a couple more calls and found one who did it for free. Took not even 2 minutes for him to do. Threw him $10 for lunch and gave them more business since.

That's bull.
I bought Foregline's also and my local tire shop installed them with Invos and had no problem programming them.

But the next question is, "What year Corvette were these wheels on previously?". If they were on a 2010 or 2011, then the sensors in the wheels are different than the ones in your 2008. The TPMS changed starting with 2010 models.

My local tire dealer charged me ZERO to reprogram for my CCW's.... Took him all of 5 mins but I still tossed him 20 bucks for doing it immediately when I got there. Now the chevy STEALERSHIP wanted me LEAVE the car for 1/2 day and a 100 bucks...
I told the service mgr to put down the crack pipe and step away...

50 bucks for 5 mins seems steep to me... but then I'm cheap!

Don't know where you are located, but just find a reputable tire shop (Tire Kingdom, Discount Tire, a Firestone or Goodyear dealer) ... any of them should do it for free or a minimal (~$20) amount. On the C5 you could do it yourself, but the C6 requires a tool ... if the shop does it for free, remember to tip the guy that does it $10 or $20 and tell him to enjoy the six pack.
No need to pay $50 for it ... that is just wrong.

I have the TPS sensor tool from Tire rack. I've been told that the TPS sensors prior to 2010 can be set using a magnet.
