I've been collecting 1:64, 1:24, & 1:18 scale 'Vettes for many years and the C6 seems to have fewer available choices than the C4 or C5 when they were unveiled. Hot Wheels had the 'exclusive' on C6 models when the car was first introduced which put other model mfgrs. back a year or two with their offerings. Same for Jada with the ZR1. The Z06 C6 came out in good time with the 'real car' introduction but a model of the GS has definitely lagged. Perhaps diecast sales are suffering as those of the full-size car and the co's. are not spending the $ for retooling. The lack of a GT2 race model surprises me as well, as there wouldn't be all that much to change from the GT1's that were offered. Not all that much new in the ERTL/Racing Champions/GMP muscle car series' either, although most of the desired ones have already been done.

The vast majority of my collection (cars anyway) is in 1/18, and I do have a lot of Corvettes. I recently bought the #4 "Jake" '09 GT1 by AutoArt, very nice model, although it's a closed version, no opening parts. I've got several other Vette race cars, the correct #3 C5R Dale Earnhardt Daytona version, #57 '68 Heinz L88, and the Exoto '63 Grand Sport coupe, incredible detail. The GT2 race car is quite a bit different than the GT1 actually, although not at first glance. The GT1 cars are pretty much "silhouette" cars with no common pieces to the street car, but the GT2 cars use the same body as the street cars basically, save for the wing. I'm hoping some high end models of both the street GS and the GT2 race cars come soon.

Thanks, I've been checking at Target/WalMart for quite a while; these must have finally been released. I'll be at BG in a few weeks-usually some of the vendors have them as well-maybe even in other colors.

I looks like Hot Wheels will be making the 2011 Corvette Grand Sport coupe in 1/64 scale sometime this year.Make sure and post when ever anyone finds it.

GRRRRR! I still can't figure out why SOMEBODY isn't doing the Grand Sport and/or the C6R GT2 ALMS race car in 1/18. Both are very popular and I'm guessing would sell very well regardless of price. !/64 is better than nothing, but it's tiny, and basically a toy, and I think a lot of Vette owners (myself included) would be more than willing to spend the money for a high detail, high quality 1/18 model of either or both. Any manufacturers/distributors out there who can give this some consideration?

There's been a color change on the Hot Wheels 2011 Corvette Grand Sport, now it comes in jetstream blue with black stripes.

Haven't seen the blue ones yet but Wally World has tons of the yellow ones. My kids (toddlers) want one every time they go to the toy ailse. And yes, they already have 2 at home.

I'm dragging this one up from the depths, hoping someone has some extra laying around. Are there any current releases of this model? I quit collecting HW's back in 2001 and just last week purchases a 1:1 2011 GS. I wouldn't mind making a replica of it in 1:64. I will need three of course so I can make it with removable tops.
