Hi...I'm new to the board.I have a 2005 Corvette w/ an A4. I took it in for a transmission flush and fill. The Trans temp at DIC was 172 degrees before the service and about 205 degress After the service.About a 30 degree increase in temp.I took it back to dealership and I watched 'em check level...tech and service manager did'nt have any idea how it happened. They called "tech line" and they said as long as it's not 20-30 degress above the engine temp it's okay.Has anyone ever heard of this ?Dexron lll and Dexron lV are apparently both compatible.i've had to make alot of repairs to this car but the C-6 is one of the best if not the best looking sports car on the road IMHO...and besides I CAN'T do Rice-wagons...hope that did'nt offend anyone ...Thanx
Nah...I took the 172 at the same milage as the 205.Gm switched from Dexron lll to Dexron Vl in 2005 , the same year as my car.It initially had lll in it then the dealership put in Vl in it as lll is no longer used..it's prolly more viscous etc. This is the only thing that changed.Thanx for the reply...
