Track Wheels
What are most people doing for track wheels to put super sticky meats on? Id rather have something that weighs the same or less than stock.
Are most people just picking up used stock rims on here, or is there something new and reasonably affordable that is the same weight?
The thing that scares me about buying used is getting a defective or damaged wheel. Lots of liars and cheats in the marketplace, and once they have your money, *poof*.
For that reason new ones are worth more to me, but not 2x or 3x more.
Suggestions?

You can pick up a lot of new car take-offs . ..whether C6 or Z from the parts for sale website for $300-500 if you like oem sizes and tire sensors .. . I may be thinking cheap seats, but I'd think those would be the best value for weekend go-fast track runs.

For my C6 coupe (used on road course tracks), I am using 4 - 18 inch C5Z (speedline) wheels wrapped in R888.
They are lighter that stock C6 wheels, and cheap and easy to find on the forum for roughly $100 each wheel.

bought a set of stock C6 OEM wheels off the parts for sale section for 300...
silver painted 5 spoke and a set of tps sensors for 100 al total close to 500 shipped
no problem on either transaction.in the future i will do what timsam did.Tires are a whole lot cheaper in C5 sizes
