Anyone have experience with the painted caliper covers offered at the various parts houses regarding fit and ease of install? I have a '11 GS in torch red with the chrome wheels, and seems like those calipers in red would look pretty good.

Either get powder coated ones that you exchange, or paint them. Those covers are :lame" and cost more than both powder coated or painting yourself. Plus, Torch Red is the easiest to match. It's a "NO BRAINER".
Be aware that there is a risk of brake squeal once they are powdercoated. I have been through multiple solutions with no success to get rid of the brake squeal that arrived with my powder coated calipers from Mike. My final option will happen this spring when I attempt to remove the powder coating from "pad side" of the calipers. It is the only place left that the vibration causing brake squeal could be coming from. Not sure if Mike is still powdercoating this side of the calipers or if I just got unlucky. Nothing worse than pulling up to a stop with everything shining(including matching calipers) only to have squealing brakes ruin the moment.

I had a problem with horrible brake squeal also. I would bed the brakes and they disapeared.... for a week!
So I changed the pads to Hawk Ceramics (even though mine were new Delco) and guess what. Magically gone!!! You may want to try that...

Your car... do what you want. The important thing is that *you* like it.
