Someone who has done it will chime in here, but I do not believe so. And if the support is cracked, you might think about taking it to a welding shop and having them fix it rather than buying a new one. It will be stronger and mucho less money. Simple aluminum welding.
I have replaced mine and I did not have to remove the bumper cover. The only problems I had were the electrical wiring was snaked through the aluminum frame so I had to reach up and cut a few bars to remove the wiring, your results may vary.
Nope, you don't have to remove the bumper cover. I just replaced the radiator, top support, bottom support (Mine was in 6 pieces ), and the radiator/shroud.
As was said earlier the wiring is all snaked around and through the support from the factory. Now, that being said... I have a lift. So doing the job was pretty simple although you have to be plastic man to get to some of the clips/bolts/ties. It can be done though.
I didn't have to cut anything, but I can see where one would get very frustrated. Everything under that front side including side markers, horn, headlights harness and ambient temp sensor has to be unplugged or plugged in. Sounds like a lot, but really not that big of a deal as long as you don't mind being on your back and sliding around... or having a lift
