05 C6 Problems
Hello everyone, I"ve got a 05 C6 with a manual transmission. The car has 22000 mi. and something is going on with the clutch. I live in central IL so I haven't driven the car all winter, so it was nice out today so I got it out. The clutch pedal doesn't really act odd, or slip while shifting, but is feels that it is slipping while in gear and driving. I have to get on it in order for it to slip or whatever is happening. If anyone is experiencing or experienced this problem, please let me know.
Thanks
Thanks

With the cold weather those summer tires really break loose pretty easy. Are you sure what you are feeling isn't the traction control kicking in?

I've owned the car since last summer. It had 19000 mi on it when I bought it, and I had no problems with it until I let is set for three months. I know that the tires aren't slipping, or the traction control is engaging. Thanks for the quick replies!!!!

Many of these cars have the 'clutch sticking to the floor' problem.
Fixed in most cases by clearing out the old clutch fluid.

Since you didn't answer about the clutch fluid, I'll just suggest you change it using the Ranger method here:

In Central IL, the roads may still have a residue of salt or other winter treatment. This stuff can be very slippery and with cold tires could lead to what you're experiencing. I've had several exciting "moments" in the Spring before rain has rinsed the roads.

Definitely not tire slip. Checked the clutch fluid level and some discoloration, but really noticed some water from condensation on the underneath side of the resivoir cap. Hoping to get it into the shop this weekend to have the fluid changed. Thanks for the replies, and i'll update!!!!
