Need help removing exterior A pillars. I had them redone in Hydrocarbon and having problems getting the silver riveted looking peice off my old one. Any tips or tricks?

I reread your post. Sorry. Have someone hold them while you drill out the rivets. Use a smaller drill bit than the rivet. Just be carefull. Then you will need to rivet them back onto the new ones.
empire corvettes said I don't need that peice. He's suppose to send me photos of how to re set the weather stripping. I did get it off with a long screw driver but bent it to hell and back doing so. Only place that has the new peice is in Wisconsion too so that majorly sucks so hopefully what he says works well.
Oh, so the old ones were still on. Yeah, don't mess with the rivets then just take out the screws and make sure NOT to mess with the outside weather stripping. It will all come off with the old piece together.

I think I asked him in another thread and he said the weather stripping guides came on the new pieces. The ones I got from Apsis did not so I had to reuse the old ones.

negative, thats the problem I had. I tried taking the old one off and kinda screwed it up pretty good
Yeah, I pulled the glued outside weather stripping off the driverside before I discovered it was attached to the weather strip guide and had to glue that one back on. It worked but was a pain. Once I knew what I was doing the passenger side was much easier.
Here is some info on the removal and install. No mention of removing tracks, they are not needed on new ones, and also when bought from GM as replacements the track is not even on them.
1-open door
2-open hood3-remove the little cowl piece (one screw) on top .slide it out
3-grip the weather stripping at the bottom. It has gummy glue on it.Work it back and forth and it will come loose.
4-pull up slowly on the weather strip, towards the top.It will slide out of a grove(track).stop when you get to the top.you don't have to pull it across the door opening.
5-just let it hang(the weather strip)you will noticed about 5 or 6 screws that you have to remove. there is one on the very top of the "A"pillar. make sure you get that one.If you don't see the one on the very top then you might have to peel the weather strip back a little more.
6-once all the screws are removed then the "A" piller will come off.
7-Install the new "A" piller with the screws that you removed.Slide the weatherstrip back in place. .start at top where it is hanging and just work it back in the grove. When its in you may want to add some gummy glue on the bottom of the weatherstrip. I didn't have to as the gummy glue was sticky enough for mine to stick.
pass side:
1-do all the above except there is NO COWL piece to remove as in step one.
2-actually it took me a little longer to do the drivers side because i was feeling my way.

any pictures of it with out the track? I couldn't figure out fittment without that.
just some general pics. I replaced mine a while back. The track does not need to come off the A pilllars on the car I remember that. And when installing the weatherstrip back it just kinda tacks back on or you can use adhesive. If your having an issue just take it to a auto glass place and they will do it in 10 minutes. Probably will charge 20-30$ if that, I had a small issue with mine but once I did the 1st one the 2nd one was easy. Sorry pics are of the removal not install so probably wont help
1st screw to remove to gain access to A pillar and weatherstripping
plastic black pieced removed
Drivers side plastic cowl piece
bottom hex screw
drivers side weather stripping removed to expose screws
3 philips screws under stripping
Final pull off of Pillar very easy
drivers side removed
A pillar
None of the rivets you see on either side are removed making this a simple uninstall/install process
