I stopped by Spring Mountain in Nevada last week and was very impressed with the whole operation. The people were all friendly, welcoming and professional and the physical plant was basically all brand new. Rick, Brad and Tony were great ambassadors for the place. It will be the place I go when it all works for me.
I've attended the one in Arizona, Bondurant, and found it to be excellent. From everything that I've read about the one in Nevada, Spring Mountain, it, too, is excellent.

I,too, attended the Bondurant 3-day school and found it to be excellent. I have several friends who have done the Spring Mountain course and were extremely satisfied. FWIW. . .
Last Sept 2010 a friend and I both attended Level 1 Corvette school at Spring Mountain and had a blast learning how to drive a Corvette fast on the track there. I will be returning to retake day 3 of Level 1, to knock the winter rust off my driving skills in early April and then taking the two day Level 2 the following two days to finish out the week at Spring Mtn. The instructors are excellent, (friendly, patient and know their stuff) the curriculum is excellent and the cars are kept in top notch condition for every practice and track session you run in them. Lunch each day is catered and was very good all 3 days. The track also has a bunch of suites available at a very reasonable nightly rate so you can stay at the track while training and each unit has a kitchen so you can eat breakfast in your room and be ready for each days track session. A very professional operation and worth every penny they charge for the experience. IMHO.
Doing a couple hot laps with an instructor at the wheel of a ZR1 was the highlight of my visit. And shows I have room for improvement thus my return in April for more practice and instruction.
Spring Mountain (Nevada) and Bondurant (Arizona) are both top rated schools. Chuckwalla (So.California near Indio) is smaller, but also very nice since it's closer for me
Welcome to Corvette Forum Dick Spiers. If you filled out your profile including where you live, you'd get more specific replies. Also, so that members know what the topic is, you might consider your title with more than "Dick."
The Bondurant School has been the world leader in driving schools for over 40+ years. I took a 4-day Grand Prix class back in '08 and was very impressed by how professional everyone was and how much I improved as a driver. If you want to drive anywhere near the limit of your Corvette, you need go to Bondurant first.
I am interested in feedback regarding the GM sponsored Corvette driving schools. One is in Arizona and the other Nevada. Comments will be appreciated.
I have been to Spring Mountain twice and plan on going back in November. Don't have any information on Bondurant - but I love Spring Mountain.
On a sort of sad note, my favorite instructor at SM was Justin "JJ" Johnson. Doesn't look like JJ will be instructing at SM any more - Since it looks like he got his NASCAR ride! Rookie start at Phoenix in the 51 truck and finished a very competitive 8th - without tearing up his truck!
I'll be out to Spring Mtn. May 9-10. Web site is better for information, and I never saw answer if AZ has all Corvettes, but from their web site (site to busy with info), I couldn't really tell. So far, great customer service via e-mail (and phone) to verify my elgibility, but I'm sure both do that. I'm sure both are excellent, it's up to where you want to go.
