Default Vendors

I am starting to have a real hard time dealing with more than my share of vendors on this forum. The ones I am talking about are the middle men for other suppliers items. Two examples are as follows. Both vendors I asked loud and clear and several times if the item I was buying was in stock at there buisness. Response both times was yes. After waiting 3 weeks with nothing I start to enquire where this stuff is. Both vendors said "I am sure the other guys have shipped it by now". What kind of buisness is that. Take your money with no follow up, tracking numbers, or delivery dates. For the price it costs to ship this stuff I find this to be a crappy way to do buisness. I will indeed name the forum buisnesses if I dont get some results soon as to save the next suckers the headaches. I have had some real good transactions with some vendors on here. Seems to be a 2 to 1 ratio. 2 good for 1 bad. Not good enough to me.

I agree there are some great venders! But as you said, a lot of the items you order, come from some place else. Kind of makes you think...wow I could have saved money and time it I just ordered streight from the maker!

Why should it be locked? OP hasn't named any names. Just venting and allowing others who've had the same or similar problems with forum vendors to air their complaints about that type of service.

Might help some of the vendors who are doing that.

Welcome to the internet. I knew a guy that paid for his college simply by getting a business license and setting up the discounted prices with major supplier and selling to other forum members for a profit. Never had a warehouse or even packaged up one thing. He simply was the middle man.

.. there are also ways to check out a vendor other than their word they have items in stock! When I find a good vendor I really try to patronize them all I can....

I also think LOUSY one's should be publicized or at least forced to respond to complaints!

I agree that you take more chances with the internet. That is just the way things are. You takes your chances even with regular street businesses.

For what ever it is worth.....I have in the past owned and operated a business that catered to the public as well as government, military, etc. Under no circumstances did I permit any kind of ill will to develop with my clients and customers! That is one of the fastest ways to go under......the old saying about the customer is always right is way up there with the words "superior customer service".
I always bent over backwards and because of that my business exploded after I paid my dues.......

What I love are the guys that are selling knockoff, copycat stuff at unbeliveable low prices.

I ordered from one of our mod vendors and the stuff was simply junk. I ordered it from another vendor, paid about 30% more but got the real deal and it was worth every penny.

It is a shame that so many vendors steal ideas from others, bastadize the product to sell it cheaper....

I am a firm believer that you usually get what you pay for...

I have no problem with drop shipping.
Sounds like if you ordered it from the supplier it still would of been shipped the same time anyways.

Based on what you have stated I would also be upset and not pleased with that type of customer service.

Phoned the direct supplier where the middle man ordered it from. Supplier said he just got the order yesterday. Only reason he got the order yesterday was because I followed up on it enquiring where my shipping number or expected delivery date was. Cant believe these middle man dont follow up on these orders to ensure they are shipped. But what the heck is $1500. As long as it is out of my account and in his thats where it stopped. Only one more vendor to deal with on the same thing only thing is its over a month with nothing. All I here is "I shipped it 3 weeks ago". Problem is he only lives 400 miles from me.

There are some stand-up vendors on this forum, but I have certainly felt your pain. Hopefully, the moderators can help you.

Canada Customs can hold a shipment for up to a month, seen it first hand many, many times.

Update on the status. There was 4 different orders from 4 different vendors. The 2 vendors were very good and as soon as the orders were filled they were shipped and a tracking # was sent. Now the other 2 were not good at all. After going to the source that made my custom hood (I bypassed the middle man as he did no followup or ever ordered my stuff once the paypal money was sent, this was 24 days later) the maker of the hood was very proffessional and really cared about his service. Now the last vendor I am still dealing with came up with the "must of been lost". I will ship your stuff again once I have it back in stock. I requested a paypal refund and they kept trying to persude me not to cancel the order with odds and ends. After about the 5th request for a refund the response was "I will get you one in a few days". Paypal refunds are usually instant from my dealing before. I think this vendor is just buying time then he will send me a email saying "I just shipped your stuff". Doesnt sound like I will get refunded so once again I will take the hit. There has been a few post on this vendor on this same thing.
