Default Black Halo Done!! Step by step pics inc

this took about an hour and was pretty straight forward and easy. everything gets reused except for the rear weather strip. hope this helps anyone thinking about doing it.

Does the rear weatherstrip get removed every time you take it off? Or can you swap out the halos when you want to go from black halo back to the colored halo?

once removed its no longer usable you will need another one for your new halo. you dont have to take it off the old one though unless you plan on painting the one you already have. i kept the old one as well.

That looks great! May I ask where you purchased your second halo? Could you share the cost of the project?

Thank you,

Chris

This is after the silver halo was removed pretty much the frame of the car. If you are planning on using your stock halo rather then buying one to replace it with then you will need new rear weather stripping

Of course. 1-800-for-Vette ask for guy. 100 bucks for the halo. 35 bucks for shipping. Paint and install was free ( my best buddy owns a body shop) you can expect the paint to run about 150 though. Install you can do yourself it's very easy just a few clips and screws.

How much does the new weatherstrip cost?

You leave the weatherstrip on the original so that you can re-install it later if you want, correct?

And then install a new weatherstrip on the new one, or does the new one come with one?

10 bucks for the strip. And yes you can leave the strip on the old one for re install. As far as the new one coming with one mine didn't.

I just had my vinyl graphics guy wrap mine in gloss black vinyl. Cost me like $75 and can be removed any time in 10 minutes.
