Default Heater core problem

All of a sudden my heater stopped working. It blows air but not hot. The heater core has no air flow. Anyone with any idea what the problem could be.

There is a water valve that shuts off coolant flow to the heater core when the a/c is on. The valve may be in the wrong state, and could be your problem.

On older GM cars, the valve was controlled by vacuum - I'm not sure about the C6.

You should ensure that you have plenty of antifreeze in your system and it is on the right level. If that is not your problem then you might have a clogged heater core. If you do not have a clogged heater core,it is possible that your thermostat is sticking and eventually your head gasket will blow. Blown head gasket can be caused by a broken thermostat that stays in the "no flow" position. This in turn can over heat the engine and blow the head gasket.

Good point. There could be air in the cooling system.

What is the engine temp??

No.
No such valve. The problem most likely is an air flow door actuator problem.

That's what I was thinking as I read the post.

Didn't look to see what year your car is but we're seeing more '05's and some '06's with the bad actuators. Just FYI, there are 4 of them in the HVAC system. The dash has to be removed to replace any of them so IF you determine that is your issue and decide to have the one bad one replaced, you should replace all 4 at the same time to save on all the labor money to do another one next year. Good luck.

This is what a bad one looks like, the membrane breaks down and shreds:
