I have had my 2009 Vette convertible under a cover since November and when I went to start it today the battery was dead. I attached a battery charger and the horn won't stop sounding until the charger is unplugged. I have a battery tender that I put on it but will that will be strong enough to charge it?
Unfortunately the battery does not want to hold a charge. I have disconnected both cables but the battery just won't take it. Guess it's off to my dealer tomorrow to talk warranty replacement.
My name is Brent, I am a GM Customer Service representative. I was just curious to see if everything ended up being resolved at the dealer. If you would not mind contacting me via public forum or direct message, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you for your time,

Thank you for your concern. The battery eventually did charge and the car started right up so it was not necessary that I call the dealer.
Not wanting to be the bearer of bad new's, but your battery's probably not o.k. and doubtfully ever will be. I ran the battery in my C5 completely down similar to you, and never was worth much after that. Think I'd take Brent up on his offer and have thing's checked out.

I thought of that too. If our snow ever goes away I'll take it down to my dealer's and have them check it. They have been great to deal with so far.
