Carbon black is what GM is calling their new black with metallic in the paint. It's been on other manufacturers cars for a couple of years now. I had it on my 09 Genesis and now have this color on my Ford Taurus SHO, these cars are leased and see the automatic car wash every time they need a wash, what I notice is that this color seems to hide the swirl marks.

The 2 new colors that have showed up on Sherwin-Williams are Carbon Flash Met. and Space Blue Met.
The Space Blue is the same code as Impulse Blue from the '04-'06 GTO.
Edit: So this is the "new" blue for 2012.

the Cruze comes in Black Granite Metallic which is a cool looking metallic color. I wonder if its going to be similair to the new 2012 vette color?
