Default Lockpick Question

Hi guys and gals!

I have a 2010 GS with nav and I made the mistake of getting the GM PAL when I bought the car. It really is not meeting my musical requirements for my car.

My question is:

Do I have to buy the IPOD lockpick AND the 360 lockpick to have FULL control of my iphod/iphone(through an AUX IN) and have a backup camera?

I understand that I don't have full control of the IPOD/iphone through the Ipod interface and this is FINE by me as the ipod/iphone has, IMHO, a better interface in which to pick/manage music.

To reiterate, I want full control of my IPOD in my hand AND I want a back up camera.

Is that possible with the purchase of BOTH Ipod lockpick and 360 lockpick?

Thanks for your help!

Raf

I have been researching this. From my understanding, lockpic 360 gives you back up camera function and ipod/iphone control for music.I need pandora to work and im good.on the website it tells you the control. I talked to a rep to expalin the functions.

I installed a Lockpick 360 and that controls everything including the Boyo VTL425 rear view camera

I have both, they are stand alone units, I like the Ipod cause it alows you to still use the touch screen, but, it is much easier if you put your music in lists like by artist or CD. So no you do not control the Ipod in your hand, I have the Touch.
The 360 does unlock the Nav so that your passenger can input destinations, but it is timed, may have to unlock it a couple of times to get the full address in. I really like the back up camera that they sell, I got the bar cam it has very good night vision and distance marking. It is a little scary to install, as you have to take the radio out, take the face plate off and change out 2 ribbon cables, but the instructions are pretty good and they do have tech support.

So I just got off the phone with the Lockpick folks and the bad new is: You can't hold your ipod in your hand and use its wonderful controls to find your music, play it through your headunit while keeping the headunit's stock functions intact.

I would have to buy the lockpick 360 and then use the RCA "in" from one of the unused Video inputs to hook up to my stereo plug to listen to my music and keep full control of my ipod. And I would sacrifice my navigation screen from working while I was doing that.

There would be a blank screen on my navigation screen while I was listening to my IPOD through the aux in.

It really bites that GM's PAL really does not work well and this lockpick doesn't work well in this respect either. Oh well.

From my understanding you can use on of the xm band for your ipod and the controls come up on the screen .

Talk to Kawal on this forum. The new PAL has AUX in and full ipod control.
