A6 filter/oil level

A6 filter/oil level

Got a question and yes, I did a search and came up with nothing. Can someone tell me the process to check the fluid level in the A6? Thanks!

if your talking about the A6 transmission fluid, the OM/DVD says to have the dealer do it only if you see a leak...claims the procedure is difficult.

Rick T, now I have two more questions. 1. What were the key words you used to find this information? 2. There is what appears to be an oil drain plug in the transmission oil pan. Is this the "oil level tube"? Thanks again!

Sort of. There is a hollow stand pipe in the pan. It is critical that the trans fluid temp is within that specific range to get a proper fill level. If you do not have a scan tool that has datalogger to read the TFT, then better let the dealership do it.

Unless you have a leak, no reason to check the fluid level.
