I'm surprised Raazor didn't suggest to get it fixed and have some pie while waiting in the service lounge

Ain't that the truth. Clutch slave and master bit the dust in my C4 on the way to work. I left it at the dealer, ordered the parts overnight handed it to em and said, please fix. Runs like nothing happened. I guess I can't complain for about a 17 year old car requiring maintenance.

C6: harmonic balancer bit the dust, shook so bad the HUD was blurry. Took it to the dealer, said please fix.......runs like nothing happened.

strange trend, huh?

Crap happens. You are under a full warranty, let them fix it. You're paying for that warranty. Too date, the only thing that has happened to my '07 was a leaking right differential half-shaft seal. They replaced it under the 5yr/100k warranty with no problem and that was just before the 100k mileage cutoff.

Think of it this way: lets say some old fat dude stepped on your foot, jumped on your back and said GO! then punched you in the kidneys and said STOP! How many times would that happen before you started bleeding out your butt?

Take it to the dealer, everything will be just fine.

If it was a Lexus he would just let it leak and not think anything about it. It used to be all the oil in the center of the California freeway lanes was from domestic cars but since they have been a rare breed in that state for 15 or 20 years the oil obviously is coming from all of the super reliable cars that everybody bought instead.

Life's too short to get your BP up over so minor an item.

Save it for when the big shiot hits the fan.

Cars are not one of the big things.

Hey at least you are under warranty. Go over the car very carefully and get anything else you need fixed worked on at the same time. I would get anything not covered by the 5yr/100k fixed NOW!!! Good Luck.

Utilizing current and adequate sealing technology is definately not one of GM's strengths. They "save" pennies on sealing components and spend many dollars in warranty cost because of it. This is one example why the tax payers had to bail their dumb asses out of financial ruin.
